Why sample checks matter
Hot stamping problems usually appear when heat, pressure, dwell time, foil, substrate, die, and fixture positioning are not matched to the real product. For packaging buyers, a clear sample test is often more useful than a long machine description.
Problems to check in photos and videos
Poor adhesion
Foil does not stay on the surface or lifts after rubbing. Check foil type, heat, dwell time, and coating compatibility.
Unclear edges
Artwork looks fuzzy, broken, or crushed. Check die quality, pressure balance, surface flatness, and temperature.
Position shift
The logo moves across samples. Check the fixture, product stop, table adjustment, and loading method.
Uneven transfer
Some areas stamp clearly while others are light. Check pressure distribution, product thickness, and surface consistency.
Foil waste
Foil feeding is not matched to the artwork size. Check feeding length, roll width, and repeat spacing.
Surface damage
The product is marked or deformed. Check heat, pressure, material softness, fixture contact, and sample limits.

Ask for evidence that matches your product
Useful evidence includes close-up sample photos, action video, fixture view, foil feeding view, repeated sample result, packing details, voltage confirmation, and any wearing parts that should ship with the machine.
